Wishlist Wednesday

Full Tilt sleeveless shirt / MSGM gathered skirt / Flat ankle strap sandals / Rebecca Minkoff handbag,  / Karen Walker Eyewear cateye sunglasses

This spring it's all about prints and bright colors for me. I’ve am/have been/will always be obsessed with this turquoise color and absolutely love the print of the satin skirt. This outfit makes me feel like I should be walking on an island resort right about now… What prints/colors are you incorporating into your closet this spring? I’d love to know! :) for daily updates: instagram: adventureinheels

Black&White&Colorblocked.

So remember my previous post stating that I would pounce on getting the colorblocked Zara heels if they even remake them in some sort of fashion? Well, my fellow shoe-hoarder Jen told me about the Zigi Soho look-alike that DSW made. Probably within a week it was sold out since it was made in the exact...EXACT same colors as the Zara Color-blocked heels. I wanted the orange ones but they ran out in my size but I am loving these cobalt blue-teal ones :)

Paired the heels with the spring trend of black&white&peplum = my favorite.

Friday Faves: Zara Heels

Zara has been on POINT (literally) with their strappy heels for the past few years. I think the orange/nude strappy combo is still my favorite and if they ever come back with it I'm hopping on that the first second it gets online! Misisng out on those shoes are still one of my BIGGEST fashion regrets.

Strappy heels can make your casual outfit look instantly look more chic, and they are perfect for day to night wear. Not to mention that these heels are generally a little lower than the sky high platform heels we were so used to wearing.

Comfort + Chic = Awesome.

Spring Summer is finally here! Did it just skip a season? Even though I'm loving the warm summer nights, the close to 90 degree weather is not to my liking. "Luckily" I'm stuck inside for the most of the hot daylight hours for my 9-5.

Pants are an item that have been making it's way back into my closet...and with fast speed too. It's probably been less than 6 months that I've started to love wearing pants. For the past four years of undergrad my bottomwear consisted of colored or leather leggings and harem pants. Comfort > style when you're walking to classes everyday and have to study till 3am. It wasn't until I started my 9-5 that I started to grow a collection of pants...and with much color too. I now have a rainbow selection of bottoms ranging from floral prints (featured here) to royal blue to these absolutely cute polka dot pair.

Fashion horading is an unhealthy obsession..indeed it is.

Week in Photos

WP was craving sushi so it was the perfect opportunity to finally try to make some rolls at home. My favorite fish are salmon, fatty white tuna, and salmon roe. A little pack of salmon roe was $15!!! Skipped out on that...maybe next time.

picked up some spring bling :) love the pastel one on the right.

finally tried out Weiner's Circle in Herndon, VA. You can't even see the hot dog in this picture! I had the Fried Chili-mac Dog (a heart atttack in hot dog form). It had wedges of mac and cheese deep fried with chili cheese spread on top. They also have a huge condiment bar of all sorts of peppers and hot sauces. My dream come true.

Friday afternoon pick me up: Gelato. Pistachio is my ultimate favorite.
Showered and conditioned the fur ball after he rolled around in mud and sand during a kickball/bbq event Sunday. He smelled like oatmeal vanilla and felt exactly like a brand new pillow pet :)

Red Bridge

jacket: hm
pants: hm
shoes: converse
rings: forever 21 + diy
bag: gifted

This is an extremely belated post for the outfit I wore in North Carolina last weekend. WP and I wanted to go on a road trip and wanted to start small with a 4-5 hour drive. This limits us to either North Carolina or Pennsylvania...the research triangle it is! We stopped by Duke Gardens (where the red bridge photos were taken), NC Chapell Hill, and Raleigh. When I say all we did was eat...all we did was eat. Besides a flea market and walking around Franklin St...all we did was eat. Pictures are below, follow me on instagram: adventureinheels to see more of my food adventures :)

first stop: Buku, global food from around the world. Some beef dish that I didn't care for, papaya salad with prawns, thai soup that tasted like a mix of tomyum+ panang curry (YUM), and mexican corn with guacamole slaw and hot chile peppers.

ACME: fish, fried green tomatoes, eggplant slaw

peruvian purple corn drink at Maccu Pichu (Chica Morada)

@NanaTaco: lamb cheek, pulled pork, duck, chicken liver, and pork belly. with guacamole of course.

@ Maccu Pichu- fish, scallops, shirmp cecive marinated in yellow peppers Leche de Tigre sauce

@ Maccu Pichu- JALEA!!! my favorite dish! This was seriously the size of my keyboard. Fried to perfection fish, scaloops, calamari, mussesls, yucca on top of a bed of lettuce and salsa criolla.

Week in Photos

made my own ramen (dinner for one)

got a new pair of running shoes after getting fitted at a running store. note: GET SIZED. these feel like marshmellows and I've been wearing the wrong running shoes since...forever. mine are Nike Pegasus 29+ :)

got invited to go to a company Caps game :) #suitelife pun intended.

WP and I had our first engagement photoshoot. HARD WORK. took 6 hours shooting on Saturday and another 3 on Sunday. Can't wait to see how the final product is like :)

got rewarded for our photoshoot by eating ramen with the newly engaged :)  Tanpopo Ramen in Annandale- this time I had the tonkatsu broth and it was MUCH better than the beef broth. Not to mention I got spicy tray level 3...twice. The waitresses looked at me like I was crazy.

David Guetta at Echostage with some of my favorite girls. Loved the company, but not the venue or cramped-ness or under age immaturity.

picked up two of my favorite styles at Target. Every Target I went to when this collection first came out didn't have my size. I was only looking for two shoes in particular and I happened to come across both of them...ON SALE. Can't wait to show you guys in future blog posts :)

Of course I need to end with a picture of the little monster. His little cowlick will never go down.
